The American Legion Honor Guard

Our Post has an outstanding group of volunteers (from our post as well as from the VFW Post 9182, Katy, Texas) who participate in our Honor Guard. Every eligible veteran deserves a basic military funeral honors ceremony, including the folding and presentation of the flag and the playing of Taps. Our Honor Guard provides these services. We typically perform these ceremonies in our community of Katy, Texas and the National Cemetery in Houston, Texas, but we have traveled to funeral homes around Houston, Texas, as far west as Sealy, Texas and as far south as Richmond, Texas.

Not only do we provide funeral honors, but we also provide Flag Etiquette presentations along with our services for flag raising ceremonies, building dedications and sports events. Let us supply our services at your next celebration or event. Memorial Day, Veteran’s Day and the 4th of July are very busy times for us, so book early.

Please Note: Request for just a Flag Folding should be at least 24 hours in advance. Request for all other services must be at least 48 hours in advance.
